A concrete project for the future

A great commitment for a great responsibility

For the next 5 years, in collaboration with a spin-off of the University of Padua, we will be concretely engaged in an Eco-sustainability project, which aims to repopulate our territory, strongly affected by the Hurricane Vaia which caused more than 500 million euros in damages.

Our planet requires us to do something, and we want to actively respond to this request; taking concrete action is a responsibility for us and for future generations.

This is why we want those who buy one of our products to be aware that they are buying from a source that is concretely committed to a sustainable future. We have to act and we have to do it now.

We don’t want to be the best company in the world, but rather the best company for the world.

News from our last Project: Lio Piccolo (VE)

Also for this year, Vertysystem company did not miss the usual appointment with the WOWnature initiative of the Etifor Technical Team.
The Lio Piccolo, an oasis in the Venetian lagoon, has in fact been enriched with new native or naturalized plants, which contribute to the creation of an ideal habitat for the reproduction of various fish species.
In fact, vegetation plays a fundamental role, as it protects the waters from extreme temperatures, as well as from volatile predators, also strengthening the banks.
Planting 50,000 trees in the next 5 years is the objective set by the green initiative, in order to promote biodiversity and the development of flora and fauna in this suggestive place.

ENEGO PLANT (VI – Italy) – May 2022

The initiative aims to restore the forested land of the Asiago plateau, heavily affected in 2018 by Hurricane VAIA. During the intervention, 3 different types of trees were planted: beech, fir and larch. The optimized arrangement of these species will have to preserve the forest from any new extreme events just like the one in 2018.

IMPIANTO LIO PICCOLO PLANT (VE – Italy) – November 2023

Through the Wownature initiative of the Etifor Technical Team, it has actively taken part in the planting of some species of native or naturalized, non-invasive plants, including: holm oak, morello cherry, juniper, tamarisk, blackthorn, poplar and buckthorn, in a wonderful location in the Venetian lagoon, Lio Piccolo,
This intervention allows us to recreate the ideal habitat to allow various fish species to reproduce abundantly and protect the waters from the sun in the warmer months or from frost in winter, thus maintaining the ideal water temperature for the creation of new fish colonies sea bream, sea bass and many other species.

ETIFOR – Valuing Nature

We have chosen as a partner for this great project a serious reality close to us, in geographical terms but above all in terms of values.

Who is ETIFOR?

Science, innovation and ethics at the service of nature

ETIFOR is a spin-off of the University of Padua that offers advice to organizations and companies to help them enhance the services and products of nature. The team of professionals works to improve the economic, environmental and social benefits of policies, projects and investments, through applied science, innovation and good governance.

Their Clients are:

  • Private companies
  • Public administrations and organizations
  • ONGs and non-profit associations

We have decided to support an area close to us from which we have achieved a lot and which involves us from an emotional point of view: the Asiago plateau.

Today we are faced with an ecological crisis unprecedented in the history of human civilization: climate change, loss of biodiversity, deforestation, air pollution, plastic islands floating in the oceans and loss of soil are just some of the problems caused by the excessive pressure exerted. on natural resources and the ability of the biosphere to assimilate waste and by-products of human activities.

It is now evident that the model on which most social and economic activities have developed for too long – a linear model of “take, throw away”, regardless of negative impacts on the environment and society and based on excessive energy consumption and non-renewable materials – it can no longer function. We have reached a point where one-off or marginal solutions are no longer enough.

Rather, it is necessary to adopt visionary and structural strategies, measures and policies, which make it possible to reduce and avoid negative impacts from the beginning, only finally coming to support those who every day take care of or restore nature with activities that produce positive impacts (such as the conservation of CO2 or the protection of biodiversity), thus helping us to leave a better world behind us. Only in this way could we truly respond to the growing demand of people who seek well-being in nature, also seizing the opportunity to attract and surround ourselves with the growing part of the increasingly sensitive population that asks companies and politicians for consistent, value-based and sustainable choices, rewarding who takes this path.
